Meet Dr. Christina Cortez

Welcome!

As a bilingual licensed clinical psychologist with experience in schools, community agencies, and integrated care, I offer a safe, respectful space where your voice is heard and your experiences are valued. I support you in making sense of your past and moving toward healing.

My Framework

My work is grounded in a deep understanding of how trauma affects the body, mind, soul, and your relationships, and I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space that fosters healing and growth. As a bilingual Spanish-speaking psychotherapist, I offer a culturally sensitive approach that honors your unique identity, including race, gender, and sexuality, with the goal of empowering you with evidence-based strategies to address the core issues impacting your well-being.

My experience spans adult and adolescent partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and I offer telehealth services for accessible therapy. I'm here to guide you toward meaningful, lasting change, whether you're navigating personal struggles or relationship challenges.

My academic journey includes a Doctorate from Antioch University in Santa Barbara, a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Chapman University. My research focused on the experiences of immigrant parents raising children with special needs, earning recognition for its contributions to social justice and advocacy for immigrant minorities.
