My academic journey spans a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Chapman University in California, a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, and a Doctoral degree from Antioch University in Santa Barbara. My research delved into the experiences of immigrant parents of children with special needs, offering insights into their challenges and potential avenues for support. Throughout my studies, I've earned recognition for my research in social justice, particularly with immigrant minorities, receiving an award in 2018 and a scholarship in 2017.
Fluent in English and Spanish, I prioritize multicultural sensitivity and competency, valuing diversity in thought and worldview. I provide counseling globally through telehealth services, aiming for impactful change and enhanced well-being across social, emotional, and behavioral domains.
My training includes a predoctoral internship at the Santa Barbara Psychology Internship Consortium, collaborating with UCSB and local entities, and a postdoctoral internship focusing on adult and adolescent partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs (PHP/IOP). Below, you'll find a link to my dissertation for further exploration.
Residing in California's Central Coast, I relish exploring Santa Barbara's cultural and culinary offerings while actively contributing to my community through social work. Embracing the power of positivity and "paying it forward," I dedicate my free time to photography and travel, cherishing moments with my teenage daughter, friends, and family.
